    Explores the history of health and medicine in the colonial world during the 19th and 20th centuries. While it focuses on how colonized peoples experienced Western medical interventions, students will investigate the rise of tropical hygiene and medicine, public health and hospital care through the lenses of race, social class, gender and place.
